All over the world May 1st marks the celebration of the workers' movement. We are going to put forward some suggestions to be implemented at different levels:

1.Find out about the origin of that date.
2. Search for more information related to the International workers' movement: first, second, third...internationals.
3.Compare the song "the International" in the Spanish and English versions.
4.Look up the concepts of Anarchism, Communism, Socialism, and modern utopias.
5.Debate: Does Child labour exploitation exist in our 21st century society? What other types of exploitation can you identify in our present day society?
6.Watch short film Kony 2012. Find out what Wikipedia says about that film. Try to draw your own conclusions.
7. Project: Art and design: draw a symbol to represent labour day bearing in mind all the images previously seen to celebrate that event.
8. Acronyms example ILO (International Labour Organization) = OIT (Organización Internacional del Trabajo. Guess what the following acronyms mean: WHO, UNESCO, FAO, UNO, EU, BBC, SAS, BFBS, GPS, UFO, LASER, RADAR, etc.
